Mr. Newsome oversees Stonehenge's New Markets Tax Credit program operations and manages fundraising, deal sourcing, and investment evaluations primarily for business loan and mezzanine investments. Mr. Newsome has over 30 years of experience in the banking industry. Prior to Stonehenge, Mr. Newsome was Senior Vice President at JPMorgan Chase Community Development Corporation and Banc One Community Development Corporation, where he developed and managed the Small Business Investment Group (SBIG) for more than 7 years. The SBIG was focused on investing in intermediaries to provide capital for minority owned businesses and companies located within underserved markets. Additionally, he worked for Bank One for 21 years which included management positions within community development, small business, and middle market commercial lending groups. Mr. Newsome has held various leadership roles within the small business and community development arena, and is presently a board member of Pacesetter/MVHC, a $150 million minority business focused Small Business Investment Corporation (SBIC). Mr. Newsome received a BA in Business Administration from Philander Smith College and an MBA from Atlanta University.
